How to: Use the numeric keypad instead of a mouse (use MouseKeys).
Solution:
Select 'Settings', 'Control Panel', 'Accessibility Options', 'Mouse' tab, and select the 'Use MouseKeys' check box.
1) Click the 'Start' button to display the 'Start' menu.
2) Select 'Settings' and select 'Control Panel'. (The 'Control Panel' window appears.)

3) Double-click 'Accessibility Options'. (The 'Accessibility Properties' dialog box appears.)
4) Select the 'Mouse' tab.
5) Select the 'Use MouseKeys' check box.

6) Click 'Settings...'. (The 'Settings for MouseKeys' dialog box appears.)

7) Do one or more of the following:
a) Select the 'Use shortcut' check box in the 'Keyboard shortcut' group.
NOTE: This option allows using ALT+SHIFT+NUM LOCK to turn on MouseKeys.
b) Select the 'Hold down CTRL to speed up and SHIFT to slow down' check box to enable pointer speed adjustments when using the keyboard.
c) Select the 'On' or 'Off' radio button in 'Use NUM LOCK when MouseKeys is on' to use NUM LOCK to activate MouseKeys.
d) Select the 'Show MouseKeys status on screen' check box to display the MouseKeys indicator onscreen.
8) Click 'OK' to close the 'Settings for MouseKeys' dialog box.
9) Click 'OK' to close the 'Accessibility Properties' dialog box.
